I own a ROG Flow X16 GV601RW and it used to run really fast when I bought it. But lately, everything feels slow. I tested it with Userbenchmark, Geekbench 5, and Cinebench, and all my parts look weak compared to before. For my CPU and GPU, both official and third-party benchmarks show serious drops. Even for RAM and storage, UBM scores are way down. What's going on here? I think the CPU is overheating and slowing itself down when it gets hot, which hits 95C under load. I tried boosting the GPU clock speeds before, but Windows crashed instead of running normal. It shouldn't have hurt me since I kept the voltage the same. Any other suggestions?

1. Are you sure your laptop is using that dedicated graphic card instead of the one in your CPU like an AMD Radeon™ 680M? 2. If the temps get too hot, sometimes around 95 degrees or up to 99 degrees depending on the laptop, it will slow down. I would make sure there is no dust on the radiator and that a hair isn't blocking the fan. 3. Maybe some programs are running in the background right now. Right click on the start menu, go to Task Manager, check Autostart, and uncheck everything. Check EVERYTHING! 4. Have you changed anything in your BIOS settings? The laptop might be set to a power-saving mode that isn't by default, so if you never went into BIOS you can ignore this part. 5. Make sure your laptop is set to "high performance" mode instead of the normal balanced one.

This probably means your computer is getting too hot, so you should clear out all the dust from the air holes and metal fins, then wipe some old grease off the glue that sticks the parts together.

Here are the Geekbench performance results for the Asus ROG Flow X16 GV601RW, a computer made by ASUS made with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor. You can see these numbers at browser.geekbench.com or view them on imgur.com/qTq0DYq

Is it plugged into a power source or just sitting there? That looks off, and the Turbo feature runs at 2.4 GHz speed—on Performance Mode?
