I attempted to upgrade my "not-sure-if-decent" GPU. It's a Gigabyte GTX750 OC 2GB GDDR5, running at base clock speeds of 1059MHz/Boost 1137MHz and a memory clock of 5010MHz. It isn't the Ti version—it was about 50-60€ more when I bought it, and I couldn't afford it.

After following a tutorial online, I tried to perform the overclock using Gigabyte OC Guru II. I pushed it to 1179/Boost 1257 MHz and set the memory clock to 5350MHz with a +25mV adjustment. I achieved better performance when running Unigine Valley, though I'm unsure if I can go further. The guide recommended lowering the clock frequency but suggested a memory clock of 6000 MHz and a +31mV over voltage. Is that a Memory Clock too high, or is it acceptable? I also know this won't turn the GPU into a GTX 980, but will it really increase frame rates enough? I'm still figuring it out, but I'm learning and having fun with the process!

By the way, as an engineer in industrial electronics, I'm familiar with TDP and comfortable working with voltages. However, I'm not very familiar with industrial equipment or overclocking practices. Thank you all!

The combination of 1179/Boost 1257 MHz and Mem Clock at 5350MHz with +25mV appears optimal. This setting works well.

Don't go beyond what the guide recommended. It's improbable your PC has superior cooling than what it suggests (no offense intended).

If temperatures stay normal and there are no visual issues, it should be okay. Still, I’d advise against pushing it further.

I should step back with base/boost clock speed then. What do you think about the Memory Clock? is 6000 MHz to high?
How does it feel during gameplay or rendering? If your temperatures are not skyrocketing and if you aren't getting any sort of graphical glitches on the screen it should be fine. But I would still suggest not pushing it
I haven't tested it while gaming to be honest. I'm benchmarking first but i think it's time now to try it with some games. I've just run 3 benchmarks in Unigine Heaven: first with default speeds, second with the configuration i mentioned and then with the guide suggested. This is what i got:
Default speed
1179/Boost 1257 MHz and Mem Clock to 5350MHz +25mV
1140/Boost 1218 MHz and Mem Clock to 6010MHz +31mV
As you can see, with the last ones i got pretty much the same results. In both cases the temperature got to 57~58ºC by the end of the benchmark. Should i go further or is enough? Which configuration seems better to you? Thanks for helping me out with this!
