My device is quite outdated from a manufacturer known as
Enter. I've plugged it in many times, updated drivers, but it still doesn't appear in Windows.

How many years old is "really old"?
Is there a particular device name or model number available?
Does it have a USB connection?

Please update your message to contain complete system details and operating system information.
Check if Device Manager shows hidden devices enabled.
Test if the controller functions on other known working machines.
Verify whether other compatible controllers operate on this machine with current ports.
Assess if the failure relates to the controller itself or the computer setup.
Find out where you can obtain the necessary driver files.
