Is your computer Windows 11 freezing right now?
My PC is freezing without warning when using a browser or in games, and even if my screen goes to sleep, the freeze happens too. The lights on the case stop working, so I can't move anything until I turn it off with the power button. It used to work fine for a couple of days after sleeping, but then suddenly freezes again later that day or within two hours. I don't know if this started happening around a few months ago because things changed back then when I built my PC 2 years ago. Maybe using two new hard drives recently made it worse? Could the second SSD cause this problem? Please help me figure out what's wrong.
Do you have all your drivers current? Are all your BIOS settings updated?
Yes everyone has fixed it, and I did this a month ago because freezing started happening too often. I changed the RAM's speed from 3200MHz down to 3000MHz in my BIOS, hoping that will stop the problem. If you have any good ideas or tips, please let me know because I would really appreciate it.
I lowered the refresh rate on my graphics card and suddenly got a blue screen error that made the computer restart on its own. The stuttering is gone, but now it crashes again. What can I do to fix this?
Run a quick test called Memtest86 to see if your RAM is working properly.
