Hi, I own an HP Pavilion notebook running version 1607 with an Intel Core i7-6500 processor. I'm trying to determine whether my system supports the Intel Boost option.

Navigate to BIOS, choose CPU configuration, all embedded systems (notebook, laptop, AIO, barbone system, HTPC). The 6th gen Intel core includes base and turbo clocks; since embedded CPUs can't be overclocked, your i5 6500 should reliably run between 3.2GHz and 3.6GHz. The higher speed might not be visible unless applications utilize all four cores for a specific task. To test 3.6GHz, consider using the prime95 tool.
