I'm really struggling with this problem, I've been trying to find answers for weeks without success... that's why I'm reaching out now! This is my first time joining any tech forum, just hoping someone can assist me with this. Please let me know if I'm posting incorrectly or if there are any other issues I should be aware of.
118gb free on ssd plus what pagefile size impacts that, maybe the SSD isn't performing well. SSDs typically need 15-20% free space for optimal function. Just a quick check—try setting the pagefile to start at 1024mb and go up to 2048mb. Use CrystalDiskInfo to assess SSD health and run Malwarebytes for a scan.
Alright, I've modified the pagefile size, reduced my free space to 122GB, and verified with CrystalDiskInfo. According to CDI, the drive is functioning well at 98%, all tests passed, temperature was normal, etc.
The change in pagefile size didn't seem to make much difference. In fact, after that adjustment, while playing Tekken 8 for testing, I encountered this error for the first time:

I believe I should revert the pagefile size to prevent this from happening again. I haven't scanned with Malwarebytes before, but I've done so in the past without finding any viruses. The only recent downloads besides these testing programs were the latest chipset driver for AMD Adrenaline, so a virus isn't likely the cause. It might be related to the Audio Bus Driver having an unusually high ISR count. This is quite puzzling since all other tests came back normal.
I overlooked a few key behaviors in my original message that could assist in identifying the problem:
In recent games, I noticed performance drops that appear inconsistent—slow and unstable, yet the game still claims to be running at 60fps. This issue seems to occur even in less demanding titles like Pizza Tower (during streaming on Discord), but also in more intense games such as Monster Hunter World. I haven’t found a clear explanation online for this phenomenon, though it seems unrelated to graphics load. Another occurrence was games running extremely poorly and showing low numbers like 45fps, but functioning perfectly when moved to the background (e.g., behind a Discord window). This started around early January and ceased by late March. A shop visit at that time found no faults, but it stopped working again when I brought the game back, which is puzzling. No online sources mentioned this problem.
Additionally, after my last post, I cleaned the inside of my computer with compressed air, reinserted RAM and GPU, and ran a malware scan (no issues detected). It doesn’t appear to have caused any problems, though it’s disappointing.
I’m really hoping someone can assist me since replacing parts isn’t an option right now, especially when everything seems fine. Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the delayed response. I should have mentioned that power supply first, as I didn't want to imply it's necessary to spend money but it really needs to be replaced. Sometimes I can manage with inexpensive power supplies if performance components aren't used, though that's risky. Badly constructed power supplies can cause serious damage and create various problems.
No worries! I've been thinking about the power supply because some problems in the past felt like "surges." I'll try to borrow one from a friend and see if that's the cause before spending anything. Didn't realize segotep wasn't a good brand, especially since I'm new to gaming PCs. Thanks!

Steer clear of power supplies with 3 years or less warranty. Warranty is usually a good indicator of quality, aim for something that has 7yrs or more.

I've acquired a borrowed power supply, specifically a Corsair RM850, which is only a little used and about two years old.
Unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same issues again.
🙁 I don't believe the PSU is the problem (thankful I didn't have to spend $100 on that).
I'm doing my best to capture what's happening on my screen, but success has been limited. The closest I've managed is this video:
(idk why the resolution is so poor, will try improving next time). If you watch at the start and move frame by frame, it looks smooth at first, but after hitting the metal box, every few frames it repeats the same image, sometimes more, sometimes less.

My friends suggested it might be my monitor too (unlikely), so I'll try a different one later, but I wanted to share this update. I'll keep working on capturing footage as well.
You referred to Task Manager. I recommend also checking Resource Monitor and Process Explorer (Microsoft, free).
The goal is to identify which system resources are being utilized, how much they consume, and which resource is causing poor performance when the computer is not functioning well.
Also, look at Task Scheduler because certain actions or events might be starting applications that negatively affect performance or overall computing health.

Alright will do. I've downloaded Process Explorer, Resource Monitor makes sense but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the info Process Explorer showing me, what should I be looking out for?
Task scheduler isn't showing anything out of the ordinary as far as I can tell, all the events and triggers make sense. (Hopefully I'm using that right, never used that before!)
Also, I did dust the internals already, and I rewired mostly everything when installing the new PSU (minus the CPU unit itself), so in that regard it should be ok. Didn't see any physical damage on the internals. If necessary I can try reseating the CPU as well.
