The 7900xt seems to function properly in regular games, yet it behaves strangely in Half-Life: Alyx and Steam VR Home. It works on another NVIDIA system, but I haven’t seen anyone else experiencing the same problem. The video referenced is video_20231001_044545.mp4.

It seems quite unusual. Have you checked updating or removing and reinstalling the video driver (AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XT drivers & support)? If that doesn’t resolve it, could there be temperature problems? Did you monitor your temperatures during gameplay? What values did you see?

The situation is typical and I've experimented with various drivers. Older versions worked too; some users removed them using ddu, reinstalled everything, and even uninstalled HTC and Steam repeatedly. I've also tried a cracked HL Alyx version.

Besides checking your card in another setup, it might be worth requesting an RMA. You could also try another 7900XT in your environment and observe its behavior.
