Is WoW worth it?
Is WoW worth it?
I'm not sure about this. I played WoW for around four years, until the release of WotLK and MoP. When WoD launched I stopped playing. I think the game was significantly better before MoP. It was much more enjoyable before Cata. They simplified the talent system a lot and added some questionable elements. From what I've heard, WoD isn't great, but Legion seems promising. The issue is that you missed a lot of content and story. Overall lore is different now. Don't misunderstand, you can still play it, but it doesn't feel the same. Trying Lich King with your guild for the first time or feeling Deathwing's wrath would be amazing. Right now, WoW has lost some of its original charm, partly because it's very old and sometimes people run out of ideas. Even I wouldn't want to go back since I've missed a lot already.
The games feel like a draining void, okay? Get ready to spend some time there.
Really, I struggled to get into it, even with friends. I tried repeatedly, even signed up, but after a few hours I just lost interest in the questing and got tired of pressing numbers for combat. It seems to attract only certain gamers, and for me, I prefer not to play games at all rather than just playing WoW.
WoW is a game that pulls at your pocketbook and can dominate your daily routine. Even though its gameplay feels monotonous and repetitive, it keeps you engaged thanks to tiny rewards over long periods. I strongly recommend steering clear of it—just look for other activities instead.
