Consider Ubuntu or similar distributions. Linux/Unix support for gaming is expanding, especially with tools like SteamBox. If XP runs smoothly on 8 or higher, that’s a good path. However, I recommend choosing the lightest version available—many features can be disabled or removed after some research to keep things lightweight.
Additionally, you already use Linux as a secondary operating system, and you don’t intend to make it your main system.
