Back when it ran on Win8.1, I used BitDefender, but from what I've read, Windows Defender works adequately as long as you exercise caution with spam email links and suspicious websites. I also see it this way: over the three years I've used Windows Defender, I've saved enough money not to purchase another solution to cover the Win10 license fee.
