The opposite of that situation is about 20GB remaining on a 7 drive, dropping to 110GB after an upgrade. I almost felt a heart attack believing my files were gone.

Sure, I’d prefer to wait if you don’t want to handle any issues. I’ve got it set up and it performs just as well as Windows 7 when it first came out. I’d wait for the next update or patch.

It's not ideal. The system works well but causes issues with other programs. I switched to Windows 10 and then reverted to Windows 8 a few days later. It's best to wait a few months until the remaining bugs are resolved.

In its present condition it's worth considering. It's free, lighter than 7 and 8.1, and launches quicker, with some features performing exceptionally well beyond expectations. Yet, a few programs still can't run smoothly on it. It's best to hold off for a while.
