When attempting to share my screen on Discord or use OBS virtual camera, my computer briefly freezes before returning to normal operation. I can record and stream to Twitch without any problems. There are no noticeable increases in CPU, GPU, or memory usage during these attempts. Could anyone suggest what might be causing this issue? Thanks.

I installed my previous GPU, a 1070 Ti, and the freezing stopped. After switching to the 3070, the issue persists.

Regarding this, I'm uncertain whether new drivers are necessary for Nvidia. Still, I recommend removing the GPU drivers and reinstalling them just to ensure everything is handled properly. If that doesn't resolve the issue, consider deleting the drivers and installing an older version—just to check if it makes a difference. Additionally, does this problem impact other applications besides OBS? Also, how do games behave in this situation?

I attempted a new driver installation but it failed. I installed several older versions without success. My system runs smoothly during gameplay without freezing, but it freezes intermittently when I try to share my screen on Discord until the session ends.

Could you let me know if there are any additional programs that might affect the GPU?

I reinstalled windows 10, but only added discord, the Nvidia drivers, and chrome and the issue persists.

I changed the newest BIOS on my motherboard and this problem appears resolved.
