Is ubuntu good?
I have a Dell XPS 13 running Ubuntu that I’m trying to optimize. I’m considering switching back to Windows but would appreciate advice from someone who has used Ubuntu before. Also, do you know if there’s a good OneNote replacement for this setup?
I run Linux on my laptop and it works well, though it might not suit everyone. If you're not willing to learn how to use the system properly, skip it.
I believe Windows remains superior to macOS despite its flaws, and macOS still offers a better experience for everyday tasks. In terms of user interface and fine-tuning simple apps, Ubuntu simply can't compete with these two leaders.
I've experimented with Ubuntu but haven't settled on it. I played around with Kali due to a networking class I attended. Neither of those options became a regular part of my setup. Additionally, I tried Mint, though it didn't install correctly at all.
It's really dismissive of others' preferences, assuming your choices are better just because you enjoy certain options. I've worked with Linux in different forms and distros since the 90s, including many tiling WMs, but I still chose Windows for my desktop. Tiling WMs didn't convince me to stick with Linux.
