Is Titanfall dead?
Is Titanfall dead?
These ideas are personal. If they clash with other opinions, it’s not my responsibility. Titanfall isn’t a copy of CoD, even if some try to suggest otherwise. Remember it was developed by the same team behind CoD. Blame can’t be placed on me.
I haven’t really liked CoD for years, and the BF series hasn’t been my favorite either. Still, Titanfall appeals to me. The main reason is its emphasis on completing missions rather than chasing individual kills. Players who obsess over their K/D ratio often dislike it because winning isn’t guaranteed just by having more kills. That’s why some avoid the game, but few admit it’s the real issue.
The problem lies in what makes it distinct from CoD, BF, and CS—things that set it apart. Respawn could improve the experience by removing less popular modes and not bringing them back due to a small vocal group. Pilot Hunter was dropped because it didn’t have an audience, and adding it back felt like a mistake.
I really enjoy Titanfall, but if you’re after a CoD clone, this isn’t the right choice. If you only care about kills, it won’t suit you.
