Hey, I need some advice on picking good Ethernet wires so I can cut them in and out often. Someone told me to swap my old ones.

Cat5e or Cat6 wires are generally good picks for home projects. If you want trustworthy brands, think about Belkin, AmazonBasics, or Mediabridge; they give decent quality for a fair price. Just keep in mind that cable length matters too. It's better to use shorter ones because longer cables can sometimes mess with the signal over time.

Yeah, sure. Does a CAT 8 cable hurt me? I'm pretty sure everyone's house won't need that kind of thing since it costs little extra for just one meter of wire. I figured why not buy it if the connection works fine and speeds stay good?
