Is this voltage suitable for long-term stability of the i7 9700K?
Hello!
I managed to hit 4.9 GHZ stable with I7 9700K and the average voltage when gaming is 1.32V. Maximum (spikes) is 1.37 - 1.38 and Minimum is 1.28 - 1.29.
When idle, the CPU drops the voltage depending on the load, sometimes below 1V. It is an adaptive voltage, so no flat voltages here.
Temperatures when gaming are 58 - 65 with the NZXT X62. I replaced the thermal paste, since the stock one was a disaster.
Will the CPU last long at this average voltages with no degradation? I really want to keep it for the next years to come.
Thank you.
You are good.
I suspect the processor will be obsolete before it ever malfunctions.
And that malfunction will not likely be because of voltage. even 1.4v might be ok.
And... I like the adaptive voltage, it makes sense to me to not stress the processor when there is little to do.
You have even less to worry about with temperatures.
The processor will throttle or shut down if it senses a dangerous temperature.
That is around 100c.

I managed to hit 5 GHZ Stable! Average voltage is about 1.34V, max is 1.41V (spikes) when gaming. Is that also good in the long term?
I believe you're doing well. The average voltage is acceptable. Peaks are peaks and shouldn't cause concern unless they stabilize. I think the specifications suggest even 1.5 might be sufficient. Stability is key. If you have any concerns, it's better to reduce a bit. 9700K can be demanding for gaming. How much do you actually need or notice that last multiplier?
