Considering your current setup, the 2x 8Gig sticks could be a solid upgrade. Your existing 20Gb RAM at 2400MHz works well, but adding more memory can boost performance further. Check if your motherboard supports dual-channel and ensure compatibility before purchasing.

That's a solid selection of RAM, but I was hoping for a reduced CAS latency (CL16) around CL14 when using that speed.

I don’t have a direct link, but you can search for CL14 3600MHz sets online or check specialized electronics stores.

You seem to have the funds, so I'm confident you can afford it. For the $120 RAM upgrade, this link is a solid choice: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-VENGEANCE...141&sr=8-3

CL 14 and CL 16 aren't that different, right? Save your money and go for CL 16 Plus. Probably not a PC geek.

It really comes down to the situation. The cl 14 performs better in CPU-heavy cases, around 5%. This is based on the idea that you're experiencing a CPU bottleneck and can gain extra GPU speed by about 5%.

We're debating a small percentage because it represents a significant benchmark in gaming. The idea of a 5% difference matters because it sets a high bar for quality and consistency.

It varies from individual to individual. Some individuals prioritize quality above cost and are ready to invest more for added value, like the extra 5%. While the price gap may seem insignificant at first glance, for a project exceeding $2000, the difference becomes more meaningful.
