In short...
I need a good PC for a friend, preferably with a GPU or iGPU better than a UHD 630. I saw This PC on Amazon but I'm not sure if I can trust it. The lack of reviews and build details makes me hesitant, but I don't want it to fail in the first month or not work at all. Also, could you suggest some decent gaming PCs or laptops around £400 to £500?

When considering Mini-PCs and laptops today, I tend to focus on AMD APUs with 780M graphics. These models represent a similar era, offering performance that ranges from light to moderate gaming based on the specific game.

I don't have a direct link to the PC. You can access it through the appropriate interface.

If the device is out of stock or doesn’t match the description, you can request a return through Amazon.
Nevertheless, as a gaming PC, its specifications are quite limited. An RTX 3050 is no longer sufficient for many current titles.
Moreover, the details seem inconsistent—while the title mentions an RTX 3050 with 4GB VRAM, the product description states 6GB. This discrepancy is unusual. Be aware that Amazon appears to be checking its listings only superficially.
I don’t see clear information about the boot drive size or installed RAM capacity. The descriptions are too general, suggesting a minimal setup where you might add your own components. This could explain the low cost.
It does reference Windows 11 Professional, which might mean a boot drive is present or just a license. It could also simply indicate compatibility with Windows 11. A genuine Windows 11 license on Amazon would be around £189.99.
Overall, I suspect something is off about this purchase.
At prices between £400 and £500, you’re in the lower end of the gaming PC market. Pre-built systems at this level typically use generic parts—like a generic motherboard and an unnamed SSD—with weak power supplies that limit upgrades.
Perhaps a used system on eBay would be a better option if you can source it locally and test it first. A machine from two years old costing £1500 could be yours for around £500 (perhaps).
£500 is sufficient for an office computer, but for gaming it’s worth waiting a bit longer.
Links provided include information about activation codes and product pages.
