Is this overclocking safe for an Athlon 860k?
I increased my AMD Athlon X4 860k to 4.4ghz across all cores, and I wanted to check if these figures would be compatible with my motherboard. I believe the CPU temperatures are acceptable according to AMD Overdrive, but for the VRMs and related components, it’s unclear what to monitor or how to verify voltage levels.

Actually, if you want a “safe” answer, the truth is that no overclock is 100% safe!
Even enabling the XMP profile of a memory kit ain’t guaranteed it’ll work, though the producer rated it at those speeds!
In overclock there is no 100% guarantee!
If you don’t absolutely need that extra speed out of your PC, then just don’t use any type of overclocking method!
But if you do it anyway, then don’t be surprised if it leads to errors, crashes, or disfunctionalities.
