Could you check if your motherboard supports increasing the I7-6700K's clock speed from 4.0Ghz to 4.7Ghz?

Yes you could too. However, I wouldn't suggest this one. MSI has been facing some quality control issues lately. For such a 'hard' OC, a higher tier model would be better. Something with a stronger VRM would be ideal. As a Gigabyte fan, the UD3 might suit you.

Anyway, the 6700k is already quite fast out of the box. If you're only planning to play games with it, the performance improvement would be minimal.
