The CPU was released about a year ago, making it unlikely you need to update your BIOS. The board supports Gigabyte Q-Flash Plus, allowing you to update the BIOS without installing the CPU or RAM first. Use a FAT32 USB flash drive for this process.

It's just 10 euros plus a note about needing the bios updated. I don't have another cpu to handle that, and I don't want to go through the trouble of fixing it myself.
