It seems Ubisoft is facing problems with Far Cry 4 not loading until its official release date, which is the 18th. I’m curious if others are experiencing the same issue.

I noticed this message on the Ubisoft site. If your Far Cry 4 game tile in Uplay doesn’t let you press PLAY, you’ll have to type your activation code manually. Open the Uplay PC app, tap the GEAR icon at the top right, select ACTIVATE PRODUCT, and enter the code from your order. Type it exactly as shown. After that, press OK to activate it for your account. Then you should see the option to press PLAY when you open the game tile in your Uplay Games list. I went to my order history on the Uplay store, got the code, but when I tried to activate again on the Far Cry page I saw a message that the code is already used by another account. How am I supposed to pre-load it and still need a code? I bought the game directly from Uplay using my Nvidia card for free? What’s going on with Ubisoft and this issue?

They informed me about the issue when I reached out to support on November 19, 2014 at 1:17:35 AM. They thanked me for contacting Ubisoft Support and mentioned they were aware of a problem with activating the game on the Uplay PC client. They are working on it and aim to resolve it soon.

The promo codes aren't working, but you're not alone. Many people are discussing this in tech forums. I'm hoping it gets fixed soon too.

I was beginning to think all the Ubisoft forums after the AC release were becoming a bit excessive, but now it feels accurate. I hadn’t really tried Uplay before, except for launching Blood Dragon. Now I confidently say Uplay is terrible.
