Is this an appropriate overclock for the FX 8320?

I upgraded my fx 8320 on an asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 board with a 120mm AIO cooler. The highest I managed was 4.7Ghz at 1.45v voltage. What are your thoughts on this performance? Should I consider trying a larger 360mm AIO next?

It's not just about the cooling, it's also about the voltage. With an old CPU/mobo I wouldn't really go beyond. The supposed safe limits for the FX were around 1.55v. I'd be using Amd Overdrive to monitor the thermal margins while gaming. Anything in the high teens to zero means your overclocking is near its limit.

You could try pushing the speed even more with a superior AIO, but it might not be worth it. Spending $150 on improved cooling would be better invested in a much better setup.
