The B550 has fewer PCIe4 lanes compared to other boards, but an X570 would be a better fit because it allows you to reserve lanes for the front USB-C connection upfront.

For the initial x16 and 1 m.2, I’d consider a $200$ board for a 3900x or 3950x setup.

I think I'll likely choose one of the two options. It's mainly for streaming, recording, editing videos, and especially for music production which needs a lot of processing power.

It works well with this setup. If it supports a 3900x, it should easily manage a 3950x because the power usage between the components stays fairly consistent.

This applies to the X570 as well; it likely needs a full 10Gbps C-type connection at the front, plus M.2 storage and WiFi 6 support that also uses PCIe lanes.
