In the most challenging situation, 58X3D can handle only 143W of PPT. This happens when SOC is very high and VDDGs are moderately high. It’s a straightforward chip to operate. I can also run my 5600X at the same power limit.

For an update, unless I locate a used 5800X3D around $75 less than its current price (which is already discounted), it doesn’t make sense to purchase it for $100 and upgrade later. I’ll likely switch to the AM5 model within a few years anyway.

No, I'm not selecting that option.

Hello, your purchase of the 5800X3d with a Gigabyte B450M DS3H is confirmed. The issue you're facing with PBO/Curve optimizer settings might be due to the BIOS version you have installed. It seems the board doesn't support those advanced tuning options. You're currently using the PBO2 Tuner, which is the correct setup for your system.

I owned a 5800x3D in my MSI B350M for a couple of months without any problems. However, the DS3H is one of the least reliable motherboards available right now... it shouldn't be risky, but it will likely overheat and underperform eventually. That’s clear signs it’s time to upgrade to a better one.
