Is this a good build?
Hello everyone, I’m starting to assemble a fresh computer. My gaming needs are for 2K titles, aiming for smooth frames between 120 and 144fps—better is always better. I’m still using a setup from 2016, so I’m open to any advice. This purchase fits within my budget.
I’ll keep the storage from my old build. I have a Samsung Evo drive and a Corsair MP400. I also own a Noctua D14, but I’m not sure if it beats the Peerless Assassin.
Here’s the part list I found:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ztNy7R
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz, 8-core ($349.00 @ Newegg)
Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE (66.17 CFM) ($33.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi Micro ATX AM5 ($149.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB), DDR5-5600 CL36 ($117.99 @ Amazon)
GPU: Gainward Panther OC GeForce RTX 4080, 16 GB ($179.00 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair RM850x SHIFT 850 W (80+ Gold Certified, Modular) ($144.99 @ Amazon)
I've updated the components to enhance performance, increase storage capacity, and improve the motherboard setup.

The ideal selection for DDR5 6000 CL30 in these AM5 builds includes a case offering superior airflow, a full-size ATX motherboard, an ATX 3.0 PSU with a 10-year warranty for the RTX 40XX series cards, and a larger SSD with a five-year warranty. The 120mm fan is integrated into the back panel to serve as an exhaust fan. Upgrading to the windowed version costs an additional $10. PCPartPicker provides this list along with pricing details.
I might prefer another configuration as well. When considering the expense, it's difficult to decline the Fractal Pop Air.

Here are the updates I made following the feedback. Also, some components aren't available in my area, for instance, certain parts are hard to find. I’ll mainly use this rig for gaming but also plan to handle light audio work.

Notably, this build is more budget-friendly than the previous one! I also have a chance to set up a flexible payment plan.
These items come from my earlier setup, and I’m quite satisfied with them—not planning an upgrade soon.
I don't trust that board much, especially with those cheap VRM heatsinks.
