Motherboard setup: Asus Prime Z390A CPU i5 6600 with 2x8 DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz. HyperX case is compatible, but the system fails to power on and displays an orange/yellow LED on the DRAM. Possible issue—CPU might be present but the socket isn't matching.

The Asus Prime Z390A cannot run the Intel Core i5-6600 because it uses a 6th generation processor, while Z390 boards are compatible only with 8th and 9th generation chips (8000 and 9000 series). The same socket was used, but BIOS support was disabled. Intel labels this socket as LGA 1151 v2.

I thought it was fine—it came from my previous setup, and the same socket should have been recognized
