Is there something I can help you with regarding your gaming performance?
On a limited budget, I was considering
Gigabyte B550M GAMING X WIFI6 AMD B550.
It has 16 gb of memory, possibly two 8gb units? I’m unsure about the best speed settings. As I mentioned before, I’m not familiar with this setup.
If an online resource is available for exploring choices, it's typical on platforms like this one.
You request suggestions based on a budget and location, and people will offer recommendations tailored to your requirements.
At the very least, you should have a CPU (along with a cooler), a motherboard, and memory.
Concerning memory, an option like this would complement the CPU and motherboard you shared.

I'm located in South Africa. My uncertainty about CPU and GPU pairing comes from understanding the performance loss I might incur without playing e-sports games or using them at high resolutions. For me, a 5700x would be an option, but switching to a 9700x would it really matter or would it be a waste? I'm not very familiar with this topic, but I know the principle of diminishing returns. I could opt for a 7500X3D CPU, but that would require buying DDR5 memory, which adds extra cost, and I'm unsure how much improvement it would bring compared to a 5700x in my situation. Also, playing at 1440p with upscaling.
You're familiar with transitioning to an AM5 system which demands DDR5 components, and those costs are quite high at the moment. I wouldn't suggest settling for less than an 8-core processor right now. While there are 6-core options that work well in many situations, it's better not to restrict yourself too much when upgrading. Others might have different opinions, but that's fine. I'd also recommend 32GB of RAM (double the 16GB). The X3D versions of AM4 and AM5 CPUs come with a higher price tag, just to let you know. They offer better performance compared to their predecessors, but I'm not convinced the advantages justify the current market prices. Do you have a specific budget in mind for this upgrade?
My budget is roughly R10K, which is about $500. I understand that I can't afford 32 gb of RAM unless I reduce my spending on the CPU a bit. I was considering 5700x but unsure how much 32 gb would help in gaming. That's why I thought about 2 x 8gb.
