My concern: Changes in frequency, missing images, artifacts present. I reached out to the seller and hope the problem gets fixed. I’m curious if similar configurations exist. What equipment are they using? Many discussions here mention "MST Switch" and it seems effective. Also, my setup fits DP 1.4 standards. References: - - (Note: HDMI input isn’t working.) My configuration: Desktop now has an RTX 3060TI (previously GTX 1060 with same problems), so DP 1.4. The switch I use is Delock DisplayPort 1.4 KVM Switch 8K 30 Hz with USB 3.0 and Audio. I’ve used two MST hubs: a) Multi Stream Transport (MST) Hub DisplayPort 1.4 Triple Monitor – also recommended in the first post. b) Delock DisplayPort 1.4 Splitter 1 x DisplayPort in >3 x DisplayPort out – another suggestion. Both monitors run at 2560x1440@60Hz with DP1.2 and HDMI support. I’ve tested both input methods; after the hub, switching to HDMI works fine, but chaining hubs and monitors breaks the display switching. My workaround is using the MST hub on the laptop for two DP outputs, connecting both monitors twice from each source. This gives me two DP ports without losing switching capability. However, I now manually adjust inputs on each monitor, which feels inefficient and costly.

Hi, I know this is an old post - but I actually have the same issue currently which basically the same hardware. Delock DP1.4 2 port switch, Delock 3 port DP1.4 MST-Hub, 2560x1440p 165hz monitor, 1920x1080 60hz monitor. Strix 2080TI and laptop with USB-C that supports Displayport. Everything works seperately, but I get flickering and no signal when connected together. I have talked with Delock support, and it appears that the KVM has issues with MST-Hubs that uses a Synaptic chipset, which is a lot of them, and they have no intentions of fixing that issue. On top of that, the MST-Hub doesn't even support being used with KVMs, but that isn't stated anywhere on their website... So now I'm in limbo about what to do. I'm talking with Club3D and Lindy, as they have very similar KVMs and MST-Hubs.

DisplayPort MST operates under a completely different protocol compared to standard DisplayPort 1.4 within the DP bus, affecting how bandwidth is assigned and allocated. One version relies on a fixed DP bus, while the other (MST) dynamically manages its bus usage. The digital output packages aren't fully compatible unless you employ a protocol transfer kit for MST video outputs or switch to a DDM-class DisplayPort KVM switch.
