Hi, my PSU stopped working a while back, but I replaced it and now only one fan is functioning on my Radeon R9 380. After changing its position, the same fan still doesn’t work. I tried purchasing the same model but couldn’t find it locally, and importing it is costly. I’m also unsure about compatibility since I’m not very familiar with PC components. Do I really need an identical fan? How can I confirm if a different one would work? I also considered getting a USB fan and placing it near the GPU, but I’m not sure if that would help. My GPU is still running at 95° during games, and I’m worried it might fail soon.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
My PSU stopped working some time ago, I replaced it and now only one fan is functioning on my GPU R9 380.
Could you tell me the make and model of the PSU that failed? What replacement did you install instead?
I can't locate it in my country.
Where is this country situated on the map?
And it's costly to bring it in from abroad.
If you can't find it locally, then the best option is to either stop using the card or look for fans from outside your country. Please note, check if there are any repair shops nearby or in your area that might help you obtain fans from a dead GPU for your specific setup.

Thank you for the update. I also checked online, but it's listed at 40 dollars, which feels a bit high for just one fan.

It's costly for a single fan, but if your GPU isn't overheating, it should suffice. I'm uncertain if it's worth repairing and using an old card that way.

Absolutely, I understand—I just can't afford the upgrade.

Honestly, just sticking a normal fan to the GPU is not ideal, but it works okay. In the future, I would definitely suggest taking better care of such components. Moving parts are particularly prone to damage from dust and dirt accumulation.

It seems the issue wasn't with the fan itself, but rather the link between the fan and the card, likely due to secondary damage from the dead PSU.
