Is there anyone who can assist? No monitor signal after cleaning the PC.
Hi everyone, seeking guidance after my PC ceased sending a monitor signal post-cleaning. Key details: The system was quite dusty when I cleaned it—no thorough maintenance in over ten years. I used compressed air and gently swept the PSU and hard drive bay with a dry microfiber cloth, avoiding the motherboard. No disassembly, no fan removal, no memory changes. All LEDs lit up and fans continued to spin. Recently installed a new GPU (4070 Super) for my 1080 Ti; it functioned normally. Both GPUs failed to transmit a monitor signal. I also cleaned the PCI-E socket interior with compressed air without success. Another monitor didn’t work either. Memory was reseated after spraying air into slots, but no improvement. The CPU LED briefly activated before shutting off within seconds. I checked if the Caps Lock light on my keyboard would indicate Windows boot—still not illuminating, suggesting it might not reach the OS. The system stopped working last night and remains unresponsive this morning. I sprayed compressed air through the CPU fan onto the heatsink, wondering why that step mattered. No iGPU testing (R5 3600) was possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
