I've invested significantly more time in these kinds of titles—Stepmania, Lunatic Rave, and Osu!—than any other game currently available. (That doesn't imply I don't enjoy high-quality AAA experiences) Anyone else interested in similar games here? [Mods, please relocate this thread if needed]

Rhythm games definitely come with a tough initial challenge. I played them quite a bit from 2006 to 2010, but now I'm just working to catch up!

I enjoyed playing Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock during my Xbox 360 days. I still recall entering Fry's in San Diego with my dad; he browsed his computer gear and then took me to the gaming section. There was a display for Guitar Hero, so I tried it out. My dad grabbed it right after hearing the first track. Those were great moments.
