Is there anyone available to assist me regarding issues I’m experiencing with my computer?
Greetings,
I’m writing to express my gratitude for taking the time to review this post. I'm seeking assistance because I’m experiencing significant difficulties and hoping someone can offer a different solution.
Here are my PC specifications:
* CPU: Intel Core i7-8700k
* GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 1080 Ti FTW3
* RAM: 32GB Tridentz RGB 3200 MHz
* Motherboard: Aorus Gaming 7
* Other Components: Samsung 970 EVO M.2 (500 GB), Samsung 860 EVO (500 GB) – Razer peripherals
The issues began several months ago while playing Apex Legends, where a single game crash initiated a continuous problem. While Apex Legends is known to cause crashes, this issue has expanded beyond that game. The instability worsened, resulting in frequent crashes during nearly every match. I wouldn't be contacting anyone if this were solely an Apex Legends problem. Since then, I’ve encountered blue screen errors with error codes including “IRQL not less or equal,” “memory issues,” and random system 32 kernel errors. I attempted reinstalling the operating system, which provided either a temporary respite or no improvement – the problem consistently reappears. I’ve also tested new games, such as Call of Duty and Borderlands, at low settings, but these ran without issues until they eventually crashed, followed by a blue screen.
I’ve attempted various troubleshooting steps, many of which provided temporary relief, yet an additional problem invariably emerges shortly after what seemed like a resolution.
I’ve reinstalled the operating system, performed a clean boot from a Windows USB drive—this initially worked for varying lengths of time before the crashes returned. I ran memory diagnostics, which showed no errors. Disk checks on all SSDs and hard drives also returned clean results. DirectX diagnostics indicated no issues, though I’ve been experiencing more directx errors recently. The System File Checker (SFC) scan frequently identifies corrupted files, repairs them, but the problem returns a day or two later.
I recently disassembled my PC to ensure proper connections and hardware setup. I suspect the issue originates with my GPU, though my experience level isn’t extensive. This PC has operated without problems since 2018, until approximately one to two months ago.
Thank you once more for reading this post; I sincerely hope someone can provide assistance. Have a pleasant day.
Without using any overclock settings?
The Windows memory checker is unreliable; use the free Memtest86 version instead: https://www.memtest86.com/
Perform a malware check with Adwcleaner: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/
Reinstalling Windows will likely remove problems with the operating system drive, but it won't eliminate malware residing on other drives.
Is Windows 10 your operating system? If so, what version are you using? If you’re on build 1903, it's important to have the most recent updates installed, including one that recently resolved a persistent error issue affecting games like Gears 5 and Wolfenstein Youngblood – these caused crashes due to memory limitations and unresponsive graphics cards. These problems have since disappeared after applying the update.
Furthermore, did you use Memtest86 to perform a memory check, running all tests which typically takes over two hours without any errors? It’s advisable to test with one stick at a time in the initial slot test to identify any potentially defective RAM modules.
Are you using system image restoration before running the System File Checker (SFC) tool? This is the recommended procedure, as failing to restore the image can lead to inaccurate results. Considering SFC is detecting corruption, I suspect you're performing this restoration step first.
For malware protection, I recommend the standard Malwarebytes scanner – it often detects issues that other solutions miss.

Hello everyone,
I sincerely appreciate your feedback. Regarding some of your inquiries, I’m not utilizing any overclocking settings beyond enabling XMP profile 1 for my memory, which allows it to reach a speed of 3200 MHz – otherwise, it defaults to approximately 2166 MHz. My operating system is Windows 10 version 1903, and I’ve confirmed that it’s currently utilizing all available updates.
I regularly perform system image restoration, and I’ve observed that corruption persists, seemingly recurring despite my efforts to resolve it. Currently, I'm quite busy with both work and school today; however, tomorrow morning, I intend to execute memtest86+ and malwarebytes scans and share my findings.
I am somewhat concerned that this issue might stem from my graphics card, primarily due to its substantial cost. My primary goal is simply to restore full functionality to my computer. Thank you very much for your assistance and support.
We discovered several mistakes.
I arrived home following my workday and executed Memtest86, but the system displayed numerous issues beginning approximately one hour and forty-five minutes in. Could someone analyze this data and suggest a resolution?
