Motherboard:
MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon
CPU:
Intel Core i7-6700K
CPU cooler:
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler
GPU:
Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 AMP Extreme
I have configured my motherboard to automatically overclock the CPU (no need to adjust manually).
My GPU is factory overclocked (from 1607/1733 to 1771/1911+).
I think the cooling system is adequate for performance demands.
But, do any software tools exist to track hardware during intense gaming sessions and alert me if thermal throttling occurs?

Yes, there is:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/article...er-monitor
However, in practical situations, the most reliable sign is a sudden and significant decrease in FPS while playing games, making this a better choice. 😉

Here is the information rephrased:

There is a link available, but in practical situations, the most reliable sign is an abrupt and significant decrease in FPS while playing games. This can serve as an alternative indicator. 😉
In this scenario, I’m not experiencing any thermal throttling.
