Hello,
I’m experiencing some unusual crashes lately and would appreciate your help. Occasionally while playing games, my screen freezes, but the game itself crashes instead. Only the Windows key works to close it, and I can move the mouse around, though nothing else functions. I can restart the PC using the power button on the case, but that also causes a freeze. Recently upgrading to Windows 11 has made this happen more often—I’m not sure if it’s related to the new OS. The affected games include BF6 and Arc Raiders; I initially thought it was linked to BF6 until I tried Arc. I’ve played GW2 and 40 Darktide without any crashes, which seems to be a difference.

I’ve updated my GPU drivers, BIOS, reinstalled Windows, runmed a RAM test, and checked the crash log—nothing suggests what’s happening.
My PC specs are: MSI B450 Mortar, 32GB RAM, RTX 3080 GPU, 1TB M.2 SSD, two 1TB SSDs, Corsair 850W Gold PSU, and swapped fans for LIAN LI. I also replaced the original fans with Corsair ones in case it was connected to Commander Pro.

Thank you ahead of time.

This situation has only begun after switching to Windows 11 recently; I’m uncertain if it’s just a coincidence. The games affected at BF6 and Arc raiders initially seemed connected to BF6, but after purchasing Arc I realized the same problems appeared.
Regarding the upgrade, do you mean you upgraded via the internal path in Windows 10? If so, you’ll need to reinstall Windows 11 using a bootable USB drive. It’s recommended to clear all drives except the one you want to install on, and set up the installation offline.
Mobo: MSI B450 Mortar
For clarity, please state your motherboard’s BIOS version now.
Power supply: A new Corsair 850W Gold unit, 1 year old.
Are you using an RMe or RMx power supply? I’d like to borrow a stable PSU with at least 1KW capacity to test if it helps resolve the issue.
