Hey there,
I am having this issue with
crashing
with sorts of applications and do not know how to fix it.
Here is a good
example
of what I am going through.
EX. I have Discord open and a game open at the same time. Discord will randomly crash and restart over and over till it just doesn't work anymore. When I close the game, everything is fine again.
I have done a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro... Version 23H2
(OS Build No. 22631.3447)
and have JUST installed fresh memory in my computer in the past hour.
Here are the Event Viewer "Application" errors:

You are using PowerShell to perform actions or tasks related to it.

I don't interact with anything. My Discord is active, but games keep closing and crashing. Discord itself is also shutting down.

Check the Event Viewer for the Application labeled Powershell. Examine Task Manager under Startup and Task Scheduler for any mentions of Powershell. Also review Resource Monitor and Process Explorer (Microsoft, free).
https://learn.microsoft.com/sv-se/sysint...s-explorer
Goal is to verify if Powershell is running and understand how it arrived.
How was the fresh installation of Windows 11 Pro carried out? Source?

There is nothing about PowerShell in Task Manager. After upgrading to Windows 10 and resetting the PC completely, Discord started crashing immediately upon installation. Stress testing the CPU causes it to crash 100% each time.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs. (OS = Windows 11, Pro, 23H2 - correct?)
PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?
Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?
What is the source website for Discord?

I changed my CPU today and it looks like the problems with applications crashing have been resolved. It's unclear exactly what caused it, but it seems the i9-13900k might still have several issues requiring attention.

Get familiar with tools like Reliability History, Event Viewer, Task Manager, Resource Monitor, and Process Explorer. And never forget to back up your data.
