Occasionally the whole screen freezes. Sometimes the problems appear in random areas or along edges. The most frequent issue is in Discord, where I experience a delay of about one frame every few minutes. In Minecraft, it happens in the same way, but I haven’t seen it elsewhere except possibly on the start menu. I still have five months before the warranty ends, and I don’t want to pay $650 for three years just because something went wrong. Also, I updated the driver recently and so far there are no problems, though I’m not sure if that was luck or a sign.
It seems the card is definitely faulty. Verify it works on another PC and check if the issue continues. If covered by warranty, return it. Otherwise, try lowering the clock speed using MSI Afterburner.
i don’t recall exactly what happened. yesterday i was working on intellij and using its build mc client to start the game with the mod, but i faced problems in the game itself—not just in intellij. i noticed glitches when launching from the start menu, especially during updates. i have five months left on the warranty, though i’m unsure if the recent update fixed anything or if it was just a restart issue. i’m worried about submitting a warranty claim and not knowing whether the problem is real or just a random blue screen after updates. getting a replacement card seems complicated too. i also rendered images in blender for the first time recently, saved them, closed the program, and when i returned i had issues. could there be a way to trigger a test if it’s broken? maybe a benchmark would help, but i’m not sure how to proceed. if it fails within five months, i might consider upgrading my gpu for about $50. good luck finding a solution.
Consider trying Furmark, but keep in mind they caution about potential GPU damage. This is essentially a stress test, and I’m just sharing what I’ve seen from other benchmarks or stress tests. They often report issues and list them. It could be useful if you can identify a specific trigger that clearly highlights the problem and help you recreate it.
I tested it and in just two seconds the PSU emitted a beep due to excessive power draw.
