Searching for a budget-friendly Wi-Fi adapter under $40. Some user reviews suggest options that work well without needing USB 3 or newer. Let me know if you'd like more details!

It's not mandatory but recommended due to the number of USB ports available. The note about the PC lacking USB 3 or higher is worth checking—will it affect your setup?

Is this a desktop with extra PCIe slots you can use, or is it a laptop? I'm checking because a good PCIe Wi-Fi card would work better than most USB adapters. If it's for a desktop, I'd suggest the TP-Link PCIe adapter from Amazon, like the T6E, which costs about $40 and supports both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi well, even with newer routers.

It's designed for a desktop, so I believe it should function well. Appreciate the help!
