I need to check if a Wi-Fi adapter is necessary for your motherboard. Your setup includes a GIGABYTE B450 AORUS ELITE, which should support Wi-Fi connectivity without an adapter.

You'll need a wireless card since this board lacks built-in Wi-Fi.

You may find it simpler to choose the 'pro wifi' version of that board.

I question the quality of this adapter; it seems inadequate for 2x2 MIMO. For a desktop PC, a PCIe solution is usually more suitable than using just two antennas.

He won’t improve much beyond a PCI card priced at 25 dollars, and although they’re superior, the options in that budget don’t look very attractive.

Could look for the ASUS PCE-AC55BT around 25 euros or a bit higher, as that’s what most users suggest online.
