My friend has battlefield v on origins store, and I recently got it on Steam. I'm worried about downloading the 90 gigabytes version and want to know if I can transfer the game instead so I don't have to download it from Steam.

you have the option to define a standard folder for the game in Steam. if it locates the Origin-based game files there, it will conduct a hash verification and should only retrieve the required files for the Steam edition.

What actions should I take in the Steam common file folder, but the download isn’t checking the files? Do you have particular instructions?
