Is there a way to fully turn off all texture filters in the Nvidia Control Panel?
Is there a way to fully turn off all texture filters in the Nvidia Control Panel?
I am a total loss with the Nvidia Control Panel's 3D settings when it comes to the texture filters. I just want them all disabled so I get the most raw performance out of a game I can get, but if I disable anisotropic filtering theres still a LOD bias setting and then there's quality. Is there any universal setting for off here? Even if you disable anisotropic filtering it still wants you to turn anisotropic sample optimization on/off which I'm assuming doesn't matter if you've set anisotropic filtering itself off. If you've done that does it matter?
Does it matter if you allow or clamp the LOD bias? Thats anisotropic related. And then quality as a setting where if you put it on high quality it wont let you turn trilinear off. Which is confusing because if you want bilinear not trilinear you dont turn it off you leave it on.
If I want no optimizations is turning anisotropic filtering off enough or does the rest of it have to be adjusted as well?
What is the best raw performance settings for all of this?
It's way more complicated than it needs to be. lol
Thanks.
Edit:
What im thinking of is turning everything off. clamp = off.
But, leave it to quality and turn trilinear off so it doesnt optimize for quality at all and it doesnt go bilinear at all. if you use high quality it wont let you turn trilinear off.. so i think the rawest form there is quality/trilinear off
