I purchased wireless headphones and tested them with my smartphone, and the sound quality from the phone was excellent. The issue seems unrelated to the Bluetooth connection. I then bought a BT dongle for my desktop PC, but the audio quality was poor. I looked up the Asus BT 500 and noticed complaints about its sound performance. I also tried using a USB cable and two different apps to mirror audio from my PC to my smartphone, but the sound quality remained inferior compared to using the phone directly. I hope someone here uses it on their desktop too, so I’d appreciate a recommendation for a BT dongle. Otherwise, I might have to return the headphones, which I wouldn’t want to do since I enjoy them.

My son uses JBL Bluetooth headphones that perform well. I also own status and audio core headphones, which are average.

these headphones only work with AAC and SBC formats, but AAC is only available on Windows 11. On Windows 10, you're limited to using SBC only. Also, ensure your headphones are recognized as headphones in the output devices rather than headsets.

If you install Windows 11, the audio quality should match what you experience on a smartphone. The issue isn't related to the dongle at all.

sound quality remains acceptable even in win10, but make sure your headphones aren't having the microphone turned on. Using a headset or microphone via bluetooth can significantly lower audio quality.

I believe I might have resolved the problem
I noticed some users on Reddit suggesting that turning on "Headphones" instead of "Headset" enhances audio quality. But this setting is hidden from me and I can't activate it:
Do you think I should try it? I'll keep looking for a solution.
