Hi everyone! I'm setting up a brand new PC for gaming. Since I need it to run moderate and heavy games like Minecraft (and other stuff later), do you think the R7 5700G or the R7 5800X is better? I'll also be getting 2x16GB RAM, 3200MHz, an RTX 3060, and a big 1TB SSD with super fast speeds.

The 5700G, 5700X, and 5800X are all very close to each other in performance whether you have one core or many cores working at once. If you really need a bit more power but the extra money is worth it for you, then the 5800x is the best choice. On the other hand, any of these three chips will give you almost the same number of frames per second when playing games with mods, and all of them can handle heavily modified games just fine because they are all eight cores and sixteen threads strong. However, the 5700X and 5700G use less power to run compared to the others, which means some people might choose them based on how much it costs to cool down the computer and not need a better motherboard voltage regulator.

The 5700G, 5700x, and 5800X are all pretty close in performance, whether you do one core or many cores. If the extra power they offer is worth the extra price to you, then grab the 5800X. Otherwise, these three chips will give you almost identical frame rates (FPS) and handle modded games just fine because everyone uses eight cores and sixteen threads. However, the 5700x and 5700G use much less power, so for some people, the cost of extra cooling or a better motherboard power supply might be what they choose instead of paying more.
