I want to create videos with several recordings of myself performing the same action. I need a tool that lets me capture one clip while listening to another through headphones, and then add more clips in between. This helps me sync everything properly. Do you know any software that supports this kind of layered recording? I’m open to paid options but not overly expensive. Cheers!

Second sentence: Record each sentence separately for the second and third.
Edited version: I made sure to note every sentence individually as requested.

This was a sample case. It’s a bit more involved than before. I can’t break it down into sections, and I also require the video file. Edited June 27, 2015 by Litargirio

There could be a video editor that lets you capture multiple voice-over tracks. Many inexpensive or free options only support one track for this purpose. You can achieve this using several programs. Filming videos with any recording software and playing them back works well with VLC or another editor (I prefer VLC). At the same time, use Audacity to record the initial audio. Open a second VLC session or add another channel in Audacity for the second track (I’m not sure if the first recording plays while adding the second). When both channels are saved in the same Audacity file, you can export them together and insert into any video editor as an audio track. Alternatively, create two separate files, each with a single channel.
