Is there a problem with using the Phone Link app to make calls while also talking through a computer headset?
I’m facing issues with audio quality when using a wired USB headset with a microphone on my Windows 11 PC. The PC headset works for calls but the sound is choppy. I also tried a Bluetooth headset, which played PC audio well but didn’t pick up or transmit my voice clearly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I included the details in the post. Both are functioning correctly, though I wasn't able to test it on another machine. Appreciate the update.
Start by removing PhoneLink.
Then visit the Microsoft store to download, reinstall, and set up the app yourself. Avoid third-party tools.
Verify the site is genuine Microsoft. A URL with "Microsoft" doesn’t guarantee authenticity.
Check if any headset drivers are available. Download from the manufacturer’s site if needed and install properly.
Be careful with popups and read instructions thoroughly.
Test the headset to see what works and what doesn’t.
Right-click the speaker icon in the lower-right corner. This opens an audio troubleshooting menu.
Explore each option carefully, noting any unexpected settings or changes.
Record your adjustments for future reference.
If issues persist, revert changes and try again.
I attempted everything and still no improvement. Appreciate the guidance. It seems Phone Link is designed for phone use rather than headphones, possibly because it expects a phone connection. I also tried another Bluetooth headset with a microphone, but the same issue occurred. The other functionalities in Phone Link, like messages, are operating correctly.
