I recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 7 2700X to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Initially, I faced issues because I hadn't updated the BIOS beforehand. Now the PC boots fine, but gaming—especially titles like Palword Sea of Thieve, Escape from Tarcov, Rainbow Six Siege, and BeamNG.DRIVE—has been problematic. The crashes mostly stopped during BeamNG.DRIVE, though it’s now running smoothly. Currently, my setup includes a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, an RTX 3070, 32GB of RAM, and an 850W power supply. I’ve tried various fixes: reinstalling drivers, updating Windows twice, reinstalling the game, and changing GPUs (GTX 1030, GTX 1060). When I swapped cards, the PC lost internet connection and the screen displayed oddly. I checked for updates but found none. Someone on another forum mentioned a potential motherboard issue. Could this be the problem, or am I just having trouble with my PC? Any advice or information would be really helpful.

Your complete system details are ready. I haven’t encountered any prior problems with the 2700X.

not crashing with the 2700x is fine, but I installed some drivers before switching to the full Ryzen 7 5800X3D with RTX 3070 and a Corsair power supply. The Corsair 240mm AIO with 32GB RAM and Gigabyte AB350N Wi-Fi motherboard are all set up.

Which BIOS version was installed on the motherboard? What are the CPU temperatures recorded? How much RAM is displayed by Windows as used?

I don't have real-time access to system metrics like CPU temperatures or memory usage statistics. You'll need to check these details through your operating system's monitoring tools or performance counters.

I noticed a high of around 75c, possibly up to 22gb during Tarcov, but my RAM is only 8gb.

Discussing VRM temperatures means looking at how hot the power management unit is getting.

Navigate to your motherboard settings and check the displayed temperature readings. Please share a screenshot of those values.
