My PC details are: PC—Lenovo ThinkStation S30 Workstation Processor: Intel xeon 2665 @ 2.4Ghz, 8 cores; RAM: 16 GB; GPU: MSI GTX 1060 (6 GB). What’s happening is I’m seeing FPS as low as 20–30, sometimes even under 20, while playing games like Witcher 3 or Batman Arkham Knight at 1280x1024 resolution. CPU usage stays below 16%. Edit: Games run smoothly at 50+ FPS for about 30 minutes after I power on the machine. Edited August 12, 2017 by Witcher6741

I added the drivers via the MSI disc, then upgraded the display driver using the device manager.

No other applications seem to be functioning properly; everything appears to be operating as expected.

Everything appears to function properly except for the games. I believe my PC specs should easily reach 60+ frames per second without issues, but they start at around 50-60 FPS for the first half an hour after turning it on, then drop sharply. I’m not sure why this happens. The graphics card is a single-fan MSI GeForce GTX model.

During installation, did you simply request automatic driver discovery? Often the latest versions aren’t available unless you explicitly choose a non-beta release. For the most up-to-date drivers, visit the official GeForce website.

Based on my experience with GeForce, their drivers are always current.

Ensure the drivers are current, then recreate the issue to check for unusual behavior such as rising CPU temperature or a GPU stuck in low power mode. Tools like GPUz and HWMonitor can help track these metrics. Also consider removing and reinstalling the drivers via DDU to confirm if the problem persists.

You've completed the task but encountered lingering issues. While your CPU usage stays low around 24%, your GPU remains at 99% during gameplay.
