I recently assembled a new PC and encountered audio problems during gaming or under heavy usage. The system includes a Ryzen 5 7600, an ASRock B650M Pro RS Wifi, a Radeon RX7800xt, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 (2x16gb) at 6000mhz, a Corsair rm750e PS, and runs on Windows 11. The issue is that the audio sometimes starts to pop or crackle. It begins subtly but intensifies over time, becoming severe enough to disrupt gameplay. Occasionally, this leads to noticeable frame rate drops and Wi-Fi disconnections. It tends to occur when playing new games or exploring different maps. I’ve experienced this with titles like Starfield, Sea of Thieves, and Forza Motorsport. After several hours of playtime, the problem often resolves itself, though it remains a persistent issue with Forza Motorsport.

I've spent considerable time attempting fixes—updating or reinstalling drivers, adjusting audio settings in Windows, and even resetting RAM speed to default. The problem appears across different devices: my wireless Bluetooth headset, wired headset, and built-in speakers. Initially, the issue was linked to an RX6750xt card, but it also affected the new MB I installed. I reset my RAM speed back to 4800mhz, but the problem continued. ASRock contacted me via mail, recommending a full replacement of the motherboard. Before considering that option, I wanted to know if there are any overlooked steps or alternatives I might have missed. Everything else functions normally, and I’d rather avoid hardware changes if possible.

What if something other than your keyboard is connected to your USB ports?

I'm dealing with a Logitech keyboard/mouse setup connected via a USB dongle and a Corsair HS80 wireless headset receiver dongle. Changing the port connections hasn't resolved the issue.

I'm glad to tell you this resolved the problem! It's interesting that I noticed this choice before making many changes and updating drivers, thinking it was straightforward. Appreciate your support!
