Is there a problem with micro-stutters happening in CS:GO even when you run it at 240 hz?
Hey, I got an i5 12400f processor with 16gb RAM running at 3200MHz on a HyperX Renegade card, paired with an RX 570 XFX and a Kingston m.2 ssd, along with an Alienware AW25 monitor. I know my GPU is the problem since CS:GO runs mostly on the CPU side. I get about 300 to 700 fps when playing, but it feels really stuttery and jittery even though the frame rate is 240Hz in the game itself. It isn't smooth at all. Do you have any tips? Thanks!
Turn on v-sync or a fast-sync setting in your game options. If that doesn't work, you can lower the frame-per-second limit inside the game menu so it matches how many frames your screen shows per second when possible.
Do you have two separate sticks of 8 gigs of memory, or just one big stick with 16 gigs?
This might be because the computer isn't moving fast enough to match what your screen shows on the screen. There aren't many easy ways to fix this, but you can stop it by slowing things down just a bit so the monitor doesn't get too overloaded. You could try setting a speed limit that's lower than your monitor's refresh rate or even lower than how fast most people average.
