Is there a possibility that Windows 10 updates might lead to the system freezing during the update?
I'm experiencing the same problem on three distinct machines, each with different hardware configurations, all running Windows 10 22H2. The issue occurs when Windows updates are applied and it reboots after reaching the 30% mark, then hangs indefinitely. Once manually powered off, the system restarts normally, but the update process appears to stop abruptly. I've tried various BIOS updates, driver patches, and software updates, but the problem persists across different systems with varying hardware. Have others encountered this issue?
Could all three machines be linked to a shared network storage? I've checked systems that wouldn't shut down because they were saving roaming profiles to the network storage, but the storage didn't show the data being saved to disk. Windows would just hang with a black screen until it received the missing network packet. (server issue) People have restarted the machines to keep going.
